We love hearing about our customers’ great holidays in our rental cars, and we get a real thrill out of seeing where our cars take you as you travel around our big backyard here in New Zealand.
If only a Pegasus Rental Car could talk…what a tale of great kiwi summers they would tell!
- So, next best thing – put pen to paper for us, and tell us all about it.
- Better yet, include great holiday snapshots that show us where you went and what you got up to (include the car in some of them if you can, of course!)
We particularly like stories we can publish here on our rental cars blog, that help other travellers plan their holidays and activities – where to stay, the best places to eat, things to see and do, off the beaten track sightseeing tips and the best road trip itineraries. Even the things you’d avoid next time are great tips for would-be rental car tourers! We’ll pop them up as blog post, share them on our social media sites and obviously credit you as the writer/photographer (or you can remain anonymous if you prefer, your choice).
- To thank you for your time and effort, at the end of the summer we will reward the best story teller/blog post writer/photographer as voted by our team with a $250 prezzy card.
- Plus, we’ll award runner-up prizes of $50 prezzy cards for the ones we love.
So, as you travel around New Zealand this summer, whether to your favourite places of old or discovering somewhere new, take photos (include the car if you can please), take notes, then let your fingers fly and stitch them together into some form of a blog post story for us!
Email your entries to angela@rentalcars.co.nz whenever they are complete, multiple entries are welcome if you prefer to break your trip up into a few stages!

Everyone has their own favourite beach, and for some nothing beats the rugged black sand and surf of Piha. Lion Rock is the iconic landmark of this well loved Auckland beach and well bring back many a childhood memory of being dumped in the rollers and long walks in jandals on the hot, hot sand – a very special spot!
WAITOMO GLOW WORM CAVES
Gaze in awe at the starry wonderland of the glow worm grotto in the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves as you glide by. A fascinating and serene experience!
LAKE ROTOITI, ROTORUA
Discover the hot springs, only accessible by boat, and explore this lake and surrounding forestry. Fish for trout, picnic, explore by kayak, try your hand at mountain biking or make camp, a great all round family destination…
TAUPO
Fish, bungy jump, explore by sea-plane or boat, mountain bike or paraglide – Taupo has it all! Plus a myriad of great places to stay and dine. What’s not to love about this massive body of water in the middle of the North Island?
NELSON LAKES NATIONAL PARK
Surrounded by steep mountains, the beautiful alpine lakes of Rotoroa and Rotoiti form the heart of this 102,000 hectare national park. Perhaps 2020 will be your year to explore this region for the first time – and write about it for the Pegasus blog? We’d love to hear about this or wherever you decide to explore this summer!
